Would + động từ nguyên mẫu diễn tả thói quen lặp lại trong quá khứ, nhất là quá khứ xa. Không dùng would cho trạng thái trong quá khứ (dùng used to).

Describes repeated actions in the past, especially in the distant past. It is not used for past states.

• Only for repeated actions, not states: use used to for states
• It is uncommon in questions and negatives, though would never is possible
• A time reference is usually established first
