Giới từ chỉ nơi chốn và hướng đi: in (bên trong), on (trên bề mặt), at (điểm/địa điểm cụ thể), next to, between, opposite, behind, in front of; to/into/out of dùng cho chuyển động. Arrive in + thành phố/quốc gia, arrive at + địa điểm nhỏ.

Prepositions of place show position and direction. In generally means inside, on means a surface, and at means a point or location.

• Position (in, on, at, next to, between, opposite, behind, in front of)
• Movement and direction (to, into, out of, towards)
• Arriving (arrive in a city or country, arrive at a building or point)

• Arrive in + city/country; arrive at + smaller place or building
• Go to + place without in/at/to after home (go home)
• In the corner of a room; on the corner of a street

• The bank is next to the post office, opposite the station.

• He walked out of the shop and turned right.

• We arrived in Hue late at night.
