Một số động từ có hai tân ngữ. Tân ngữ gián tiếp có thể đứng ngay sau động từ hoặc đứng cuối câu với to/for. Dùng to với give, send, show...; dùng for với buy, make, cook... Trong bị động, mỗi tân ngữ đều có thể làm chủ ngữ.
Some verbs take two objects. The indirect object (the receiver) can come directly after the verb or at the end of the sentence with to or for. In the passive, either object can become the subject.

- Buying, making and finding for someone (for)
- Passive transformations with two objects
4Quy tắc cần nhớ
- Use to with verbs such as give, send, show, lend, offer, tell
- Use for with verbs such as buy, make, cook, find, get
- Some verbs (explain, describe, suggest) cannot take the indirect object directly after the verb

My aunt sent me a postcard from Rome.
He cooked a special meal for his guests.
The new student was shown the library. / The library was shown to the new student.
